Application Night!

Seniors and senior parents/guardians, mark your calendars and plan to attend the fall College, FAFSA, and Scholarship Application Night on October 24 from 4:00 to 7:00pm.  We encourage you to save the date as this is an excellent opportunity for you to come to the school and get some help with applications or get some questions answered.  School counselor Cozy Beckner and assistant June Day will be in the High School Media Center and will be available to help you with college admission applications, FAFSA applications, and institutional and private sector grants and scholarships applications. Educators in Southwest Missouri:  Teachers, Administrators, Support Staff!  Come join us for TechCamp AG on November 4, 2017 at Ash Grove High School!  
This free event starts at 8:00am with registration and will conclude around 12:30pm. 
We will have a variety of sessions on GSuite, HyperDocs, Web-Assessment Tools, Apps and Platforms, and many more topics.

Welcome to the 2017-18 School Year!!!  High School and junior high classes will begin at 8:25am.  If students arrive before 8:00am, they must wait in the south entrance lobby or the cafeteria.  At 8:00am, breakfast service will begin and students may go to their lockers.

What is a Trauma-Informed School?

Ash Grove High School is excited about implementing the state directive on being a Trauma-Informed school.

A “Trauma-informed school” is a school that:

a. realizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery

b. recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in students, teachers, and staff

c. responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into its policies, procedures, and practices; and

d. seeks to actively resist re-traumatization

When your student is absent from school, please notify the high school office.  The phone number to call is 417-751-2330, and the office opens every morning by 7:45am. If your student has had a doctor or dental appointment during school hours, please send a note from that office documenting their visit.

Upcoming ACTs

The next ACT test date for the 2017-18 school year is October 28, 2017.  The registration deadline is September 22, and the cost for the basic test is $46. There is a late registration period from September 23-October 6, and the added late fee is $27.50.  For more information on the ACT, visit www.actstudent.org or come by the Guidance Office.
