WHAT: The Annual AGHS Band Booster BBQ fundraiser
WHERE: 112 Poole St, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420 Central Coast Masonic Lodge behind the Chevy dealership.
WHEN: 24 February 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
WHY:To raise money for your annual Band trip. Date: 02/24/2018 (Sat.)

Time: 11:00am - 2:00pm CST

Annual BBQ Fundraiser Tickets are on sale now!

Hello Parents,

BBQ tickets went home with students on Monday. Please encourage your students to sell all six tickets. $5 from the ticket will be credited toward the April trip. Money for the tickets is due on Friday, February 16th. Please do not lose the tickets as they are considered cash. Any un-returned tickets will be charged to students' accounts.

Band Boosters Meeting - 2/7/18 @ 7pm

Please mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 7th at 7pm for the next Band Boosters Meeting, to be held in the Band Room at AGHS.
 We will be discussing the proposed trip to Great America, the Winter Formal, and other important items.

Winter Percussion

Hello Students and Parents,

If you are in Winter Percussion there will be a rehearsal this Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Also, there will be a $50 uniform fee as we will be buying Star Trek uniforms to fit with the shows theme. Students will be able to keep these at the conclusion of the season. Please let me know if you have an issue with the uniform fee. No student will be left out.

Carol of the Arts Concert Info

Hello Students and Parents,

Congratulations! We have made it to the final performance of the marching season. The Carol of the Arts concert will be this Monday at 7pm in the Clark Center. Below is information about Thursday practice and the Monday concert.

Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, December 7th, 6:30pm to 9:00pm in the band room. This rehearsal will be with choir and our adult guest from AHC band. Color guard will NOT need to attend.

Performance: Monday, December 11th at 7pm. Since 6th period on Monday will be our only time in the Clark Center I would like to extend practice until 3:30pm. If your student must leave they may, but it is critical that all students attend. Call time is 6:00pm.

Concert Dress attire:

First half: Students will perform the field show and need to be in their marching uiforms (colorguard in costume).

Second Half: Students will have about 30 minutes to change into their concert black. Below is a lis of what is acceptable to wear.

Men: Black shoes (marching shoes ok), black socks, black dress pants, black long sleeve button down shirt. Black tie/bowtie okay, not required, black suit jacket okay but not required.

Women: black dress shoes (flats or low heels), black pants or skirt (must be knee length or longer), black cardigan ok, black blouse or dress shirt, no spaghetti straps.

Winter Formal Committee

Hi All,


Winter Formal Dance is one of the biggest fundraisers we have.  This year it will be held on Saturday 2/3/2018.

Dance theme this year is “Gatsby Gala”, Color theme Gold/Black.

We need all the help we can get from planning, designing, and especially decorating on the day of the dance and clean up!


I would like to invite everyone who is interested to join the committee and get this dance started!

Grover Beach Christmas Parade - 12/2

Hello Parents and Students,

It's finally here. The last parade of the marching season! The Grover Beach Christmas Parade is this Saturday in downtown GB. Here are the details:

  • Call time is 9am, parade starts at 10am. I do not yet know when the band will step off.
  • Dress is the same as the AG parade, you may decorate your uniform and instrument.
  • We will meet in the Vons parking lot on the corner of Grand and Oak Park.
  • Please have your student let me know if they have any equipment I need to take.

AG Christmas Parade 2017

Hello Parents and Students,
I hope you have all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday. Our first Christmas parade is this Sunday however there is a possibility of rain. If the parade is canceled I will send you an email. Below are the parade details:
  • Meeting location: Corner of Mason and Branch Streets, 3:30pm. Parade starts at 5pm
  • Dress: full uniform, SHAKOS NOT REQUIRED, may wear santa/christmas hat. You are encouraged to decorate your instrument and uniform however try to avoid using too much tape as it can damage the instruments.
  • I will be at the AGHS band room from 2:30pm to 3:30pm so students can pick up any instruments or equipment they need for the parade.
  • If you need me to take your instrument to the parade staging location please let me know by tomorrow.
  • Paulding is near the beginning, AGHS is near the end, Judkins is not participating.

POSTPONED - Booster Meeting 11/1

The Band Booster Leadership has decided to reschedule the Booster meeting on 11/1 due to conflicts with senior students.

They do not have a new date, yet.  Elaine will be asking the rest of the board which of the next two Wednesdays works best for them, and we will re-post the rescheduled date.
