Welcome to Agapi Mesodiakaki's personal website.
Agapi Mesodiakaki was born in Heraklion (Crete, Greece). She obtained her five-year diploma (MSc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in February 2011. During her studies, she worked as an intern at Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE S.A.) in Greece and at TU Darmstadt in Germany.
In 2011, she was granted a Marie-Curie Early-Stage-Researcher fellowship. In the same year, she started her Ph.D. degree at the Signal Theory and Communications Department (TSC) of the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, which she completed with Cum Laude in November 2015. During her Ph.D. studies, she completed two secondments at Cassidian (Airbus Defense and Space group) in France and at WEST Aquila srl in Italy.
The following years after the Ph.D., she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Karlstad University (KAU) in Sweden. Since January 2018, Agapi has been working as a Senior researcher in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
She has authored more than 60 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences (h-index=16). Her main research interests include green and sustainable networks, energy-efficient radio resource management (RRM) techniques for wireless communication networks, cognitive radio networks, mmWave, B5G and 6G, converged fiber-wireless networks, energy harvesting and optimization theory.
