63/365 - My favorite blog...
Another one in my "A Fave" series... Ran out of time today, but wanted to share my absolute favorite blog. Cakewrecks. It won the 2008 Best Humor Blog by Blogger's Choice Awards, and the 2008 Best Food Blog by Weblog Awards. What is a Cake Wreck you ask? Well, according to Jen, the blog's author, "A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places." So you might be wondering "could there be so many bad cakes to have a blog?" The obvious answer is yes, but what really makes this blog great is the witty commentary describing the cakes and the loyal readers' comments. My favorite cake wreck is "Naked Mohawk-Baby Carrot Jockeys." Take some time and go through the blog - you will be crying, rolling on the floor laughing your a** off! This blog always cheers me up. Hugs to all my Flickr friends!
