Photography & Processing: Jessica Flavin Photography assistant & Lighting help: Nick Kowalski Make Up Artist: Jenni Defalco Clients - Model (left): Teiko, Model (right): Oyinda ~ Shoot for Time Out Magazine I don't really like to write here anymore, I usually end up looking back, listening to myself and hating how I sound and what I've written, I'll be constantly changing it. But it's good to every now and then so today I'm gonna right here! I guess I've given photography a little unintentional break, without really realising it. I've not done a lot this summer at all toward what i'm passionate about. I think this is my subconscious telling me that if I want to be a successful business woman in this field I won't be able to completely shut off the world without a single worry... So this has been my long amazing summer with no worries! ;) ... and I've certainly enjoyed every single second. I've had a totally mad summer and it's been the best summer of my life. I've done so many different things, 'soo many activities!!', the past four months have gone so fast, but I've fit so much in, so many adventures, outings, festivals, reading, constant day to day partying, road trips/newquay adventures, met more people than i can count, i've had so much fun that it feels as though it's been a year of summer, not four months! Life is about enjoying yourself, and I've definitely been doing that. I'm happier than I've ever been, because of the wonderfully amazing people i have around me. I really couldn't be luckier knowing such good people. But now is time for me to snap into action. I feel like I need to get this down here because then it's set in stone and I can't get away with not being serious about work. I have so many goals to aim toward, and at the moment I'll never get anywhere if I don't get my act together and start shooting again and producing a lot more work. The only person who is able to push me to get to work and get things done is myself. I want to do more artistic shoots, involving my concepts and ideas, and getting my creative thoughts going again. I'm itching to be artistic again, it was always my priority and i've just let that completely slip. A lot has changed for me from january to now. I had a feeling this year would be a different one and it has. I practically changed my entire lifestyle and plan of action back in February. It was probably the best decision I've ever made for myself and my work. From then I've learnt a lot about myself and other people. I am so excited as to where my career will take me, and what opportunities will come my way, good or bad, they're all learning curves.

the idea behind my final series is anything but clothes. I started by making a dress out of some sort of recycled material (in this photo it was plastic garbage bags) I then proceeded to take picture of my sister in the dress as a fashion photographer might. My hopes are to someday pursue a career in either fashion design of fashion photography.
