I love the funky color scheme of the motel rooms, too. Plus the globe lights that are still used on both floors of the motel are awesome(though the lights sadly don't appear this way on my pic, even on my original, enlarged pic, and when i zoom in on the pic on my camera). This was shot on the Bernard Ave. side, and is the furthest north of any of the 14 Lincoln Ave. motels that existed/once existed inbetween Foster and Devon at one time(today, only 9(as of Oct. 2011) are operational, noting both the demolition of the Stars Motel in the mid-2000s, and the Lincoln Motel slightly after that. Today, this motel has been renamed to the North Park Inn, and the original sign is gone. However, the new plastic one is anchored to the same base the original Patio Motel sign was on.

I kept striking out trying to get a good, non-blurry pic on the side of the street the Patio was on, so I used a poor man's tripod(aka the fence of the Home Depot store across the street, lmao sad me, as I didn't want to scare the people who were standing outside at the time and talking), and got this pic. This also shows the funky color scheme of this motel well. This sign is definitely gone now, though, and I believe it occurred in the 2nd half of 2009. Plus, the building has a different paint scheme today, than what you see here. Finally, it has been renamed to the North Park Inn, but the bottom part of the original base that the Patio Motel sign stood on is used to hold up the new plastic sign.
