  • The Mission Revival Style was an architectural movement that began in the late 19th century and drew inspiration from the early Spanish missions in California.
  • A simplistic style emphasizing thin rectangular lines with flat square surfaces and edges along with plain hardware.
  • American version of English Arts and Crafts which emphasizes simplicity.
  • (furniture) furnishings that make a room or other area ready for occupancy; "they had too much furniture for the small apartment"; "there was only one piece of furniture in the room"
  • Furniture is the mass noun for the movable objects ('mobile' in Latin languages) intended to support various human activities such as seating and sleeping in beds, to hold objects at a convenient height for work using horizontal surfaces above the ground, or to store things.
  • (Furniture (album)) Furniture + 2 is the most recent EP released by American post-hardcore band Fugazi. It was recorded in January and February 2001, the same time that the band was recording their last album, The Argument, and released in October 2001 on 7" and on CD.

This is where I'm sleeping temporarily - I have a futon which for now is doubling as a sofa and a bed until I can get a separate bed and sofa, at which time the futon will become secondary seating and or sleeping for guests who come to visit.

The coffee table and end tables actually don't match the futon exactly (since I got them from Target and not Affordable Portables as I did the futon) but they're so close in colour and style that they look like a set if you don't look too closely.
This is what one might call a random snapshot, a shot too good to miss when one has Canon in hand and the weather is nice. As one who appreciates Mission style furniture,I was disappointed Icould not get a more detailed shot of the bench; I wanted to get some closeups of the grain. However, due to the situation and fearful of disturbing her space ,I opted to return later for more shots. So far, I have yet to follow up the bench shoot. Somehow, it just wouldn't be the same.
