Whether you’re a pilot or you simply want a high-performance, features-packed timepiece, this flight chronograph watch is sure to please. It has a round black dial, with luminous markers and large luminous hands, set in a coin-edged stainless steel bezel. The watch features a date window at the three o’clock position and three sub-dials. Its stopwatch feature can measure up to sixty minutes in 1/5-second increments. The alarm, a two-hand sub-dial, can be set on a twelve-hour basis, and it doubles as an international travel clock since the alarm hands can be set to indicate the time in a different time zone. This watch also has a bi-directional rotating slide rule bezel for performing many types of calculations. Other features include a scratch-resistant curved Hardlex crystal and a screw-down crown and caseback. The watch is presented on a stainless steel link bracelet that fastens with fold-over push button clasp. Water-tested to 200 meters, the watch is suitable for skin diving. It has a battery life of two to three years.

And got to 11,555 feet (according to my G-Wiz LCX flight computer). “Pure Carbon” on her 1st flight flew higher and faster then any other rocket I’ve built. She was so high and fast we totally lost track of her. Steve and I drove around the ranch searching, but in the end Dick and Toma found her less then a mile away. The drogue shredded at apogee (moving fast) but everything else looked ready for flight 2. Next time on a bigger motor…say an L1300 Blue Baboon?? THANKS Steve, Toma and Dick…Another great day flying high power at Snow Ranch.

Here is the overlay graph, straight from the HCX flight computer on my rocket, which records 500 samples/second from various sensors. • Red is Acceleration / G-forces (peaked over 30 G's) • Green is Airspeed (from 0 to 315 MPH in 0.76 seconds!) • Blue is Altitude (3,063 ft. peak) This was the extended LOC Expediter on the J1520 short-burn motor.

T/S/D Computer with Protractor Plotter
APR has designed the first combination T/S/D pocket computer combined with a protractor, plotter and rotatable cursor. The T/S/D side of the computer shows fuel consumption solutions, density altitude factors, conversions for true airspeed & altitude, Mach number, kilometers, minutes to seconds, statute to nautical to statute miles, off-course drift corrections, and slide-rule mathematics. Reciprocals of bearings shown on the PROTRACTOR are indicated directly below the bearing. Sixteen cardinal and sub-cardinal points of the compass are shown on the PROTRACTOR; for example, N, NNE, NE, ENE, E, etc. TEMPERATURE CORRECTION C? This scale shows the correction to be applied to the Outside Air Temperature indication (OAT) due to the heating of the temperature probe as it passes through the air stream. For instance, at a speed of 200 kts True Airspeed a correction of -4?C must be applied to the indicated OAT to obtain the correct OAT called True Air Temperature (TAT).
