2009 IECC vs 2012 lECC Commercial

As you may recall Mr. Ruffcorn was the presenter at the March Iowa AEE meeting.  A series of three upcoming webinars that will be covering topics related to the IECC 2012. The first webinar on April 23rd will cover the mechanical/plumbing portions of the code. The second webinar will cover the building envelope and will be held on April 30th. The final webinar in the series will cover the electrical provisions of the IECC 2012 on May 7th. You can get more information on this webinar series hosted by the Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency at www.iowaenergy.org.

Other News
Katie Hanson with the Midwest Energy Alliance coordinates the Building Operator Certification program in Iowa. She is looking for instructors to teach some of the courses.  For those not be familiar with the program, but the Building Operator Certification (BOC®) is a nationally recognized training and certification program that offers facilities personnel improved job skills and training in energy efficiency.  They work with MidAmerican, Alliant, Cedar Falls and Black Hills to reach out to facility engineers or building operators who might benefit or be interested in the training. They hope to host a series in the fall in Council Bluffs, currently there are two series running in Iowa City and Ankeny.  If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity to be an instructor, contact Chad Kloberdanz @ chadk@theenergygroup.biz.
