Bar Mitts!
Bar Mitts!
1. Cold weather bicycle accessory to help keep hands warm and comfortable in the cold, rain, snow or wind. 2. Designed for road bicycles with drop style handle bars. 3. Easily installed and removed for temperature changes. 4. Can be used with regular cycling gloves of varying thickness. Testimonials: "Before I tried bar mitts, the only way I could keep my fingers from freezing on cold rides was to use heavy mittens. These were clumsy for controlling the bike. All I need now is a light pair of gloves. The bar mitts block the wind chill, and also help to keep a good grip on the brake hoods. I ride in 20F temps with no discomfort to my hands." -Steve S "Great design, easy install and they work. I train all winter and have used snowmobile gauntlets on straight bars. Now I can ride my regular road bike." -Blair F Try them out!

Laugh if you like, but these have become standard issue winter riding wet-weather gear. They cost $3 and work great. They even fit inside my normal bike gloves if need be. Be sure to get the flock lined ones - otherwise you won't be able to get your already damp and cold hands into them. Two years ago we did a ride to Bellingham in November. We left at 6am - at 6:15 it started raining and didn't stop for 13 hours. We were completely drenched. In Mount Vernon I grabbed a pair of these since everything else I had was soaked through - was impossible to get warm. Best $3 I spent that day. Seen above: Sprocket = Bill the cat
