In lieu of a cumbersome screw cap, KOR features a one-handed flip cap, a halo with integrated handle surrounding the water with glass-like optics to beautify the water, a message area in the cap to reinforce positive thoughts, a just-right mouthpiece large enough for ice cubes, and a silicone ring on the base to create a soft landing. Using BPA-free Eastman Tritan™, the KOR ONE transforms the experience of drinking water from something we’re supposed to do for the health of our bodies and our planet, to a little bit of affordable luxury we can treat ourselves to each day. The KOR ONE embodies KOR Water’s “Better Me, Better World” mantra. Relevant Materials or Manufacturing Technique: The KOR ONE is constructed primarily from injection-molded, BPA-Free Tritan™ (which was pioneered for the KOR ONE and the market it represents). Bought from Whole Foods Chicago on December 7, 2008. Ripe for my enjoyment. Tasting Notes: Dec. 7, 2008 - Golden Delicious - Crispy and crunchy crust but soggy innards. Sweet and juicy. Just the right amount of sour but a very pleasant after taste. Probably would not buy again because it's too soggy. Slight tingling on tongue Dec. 8, 2008 Gala - Crispy skin but not as soggy as the Golden Delicious. Sweet but noticeably more sour than GD but just as juicy and refreshing. Clean after taste with a slight tingling on tongue Red Delicious - Softer skin and soggy inside. Clean tasting but will not buy again. Just too soggy. Nothing stands out. No tingling on tongue. Dec. 9, 2008 Honeycrisp - The first thing I noticed when I picked up this apple was the scent. It's hard to describe but it just smelled like an apple should. It smells sweet. It smells like it was just picked yesterday in an orchid in Washington, packed by a migrant worker, and put on a flight directly to my office. From the first bite to the last, this apple was extra crispy and sweet. Never did I think it was too soggy or not sweet enough. The best was that each bite generates more juices than the last. Is this where apple juice comes from? The sweet sour aftertaste left my mouth refreshed. Finally, an apple that lives up to its name. The best apple, yet! Granny Smith - The smell of this green apple is sweet and clean. However, it is not sweet at all. It's tarter than the rest but its very crispy. Not as crunchy as the Honeycrisp but extremely crispy and firm nonetheless. Dec. 10, 2008 Fuji - Semi sweet but very crunchy and crispy. Finishes clean. This is my second favorite.
