Adel F. Ahmed was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received the B.S. degree in Mathematics from King Saud University, in 1995, the M.S. degree in Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Sydney, Australia, in 2008. For two years, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Information and Computer Science Department at KFUPM. He then worked as the Chairman of the same department for 4 years. Currently, he is the Dean of College of Computer Science and Engineering at KFUPM. His research interests include Information Visualization, Visual Analytics and Cooperative Design & Visualization in the area of Human-Computer Interaction.
