  BI-MONTHLY BULLETIN

Dear Addison Place Homeowner/Resident,

Addison Place Homeowners' Association (APHOA) provides a bi-monthly bulletin to inform homeowners/residents of the happenings, information and developments in our neighborhood. This bulletin augments our website: www.addisonplace.org

 Survey Results Are In

·         By a 2-1 margin homeowners/residents support retaining the motion-detecting lights over the garage. Many neighbors responded to the survey conducted in February-March with additional comments and thoughts. Some neighbors suggested aiming the lights down versus into a neighbor’s windows and adjusting the amount of time the lights stay on after being triggered, if the fixture permits. Another neighbor recommended checking with law enforcement for its view. Contact with Addison’s Chief of Police Paul Spencer was made. Chief Spencer confirmed that lighting is a deterrent and referred us to the National Crime Prevention Council’s Home Security Checklist > Outdoor Security website:

·         GREAT NEWS! Landscaping to replace the removed landscaping due to the drainage re-construction is planned for the week beginning May 8.

·         The Town has completed its annual certification of our Pool. May 1 is “official” open date, although many use once water is warm enough. Pool Rules are posted. Homeowners are provided an initial key to the Pool gate. If the initial key is lost, there is a $25.00 replacement charge. Feel free to contact SNL, the management company, at 214 243-2175.

·         A major amenity of Addison Place is the Club House/patio area. An extended-family gathering, a large birthday, wedding rehearsal, anniversary party and other types of gatherings may make this major amenity fitting for homeowners/residents to use. A full kitchen with stove, refrigerator and microwave, wet bars, dining table(s) and chair(s) for several guests are available. Rental of the Club House is a modest $25.00. There is a security deposit of $200.00. Check with SNL, the management company, at 214 243-2175 to reserve your date.

·         ADDISON’S SEMI-ANNUAL COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE—Residents, who have stuff, can sell said stuff on Saturday, May 6, 8a-2p. For $20.00 per booth, Addison residents can sell their stuff under a large tent at the Addison Town Center parking lot (in front of Crunch Fitness) to any interested buyer. Document shredding and e-recycling will also be available on site during the event. Vendor applications are available on the Town’s website: https://addisontexas.net or at the Addison Service Center, 16801 Westgrove Dr., just down and across the street from us.

·         Monthly meetings of the Addison Place Homeowners Association are scheduled for the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Club House.
