Quarterly Bulletin

Dear Addison Place Resident/Homeowner,

Addison Place Homeowners' Association provides this quarterly bulletin to inform residents /homeowners of the happenings, information and developments in our neighborhood. This bulletin augments our website www.AddisonPlace.org.

ü  Hats off to the many homeowners who repaired, painted and corrected flaws at their homes after this year's Architectural Standards inspection in maintaining and keeping our neighborhood values high. Only two homeowners requested a Hearing before the Board to discuss and verify facts following receipt of the inspection letter. One homeowner came to the Hearing reporting he was complying with the issue(s) in the inspection letter. The other homeowner, who had just recently purchased his home, came to the Hearing and was granted additional time to complete his repair/painting.

ü  Tree trimming in Addison Place has been completed. The Board chose Wauson Tree Service, who is among the 21 "Best Tree Service Professionals in Dallas for 2016" according to expertise.com. Expertise measured 310 tree services in Dallas to find the 21 Best.  Wauson's team of ISA-Certified Arborists trimmed the branches that were overhanging our homes and had overgrown our streets lights on South Fork. Several homeowners took advantage of these professional Arborists to trim trees in their patios.

ü  A reminder that these less daylight hours make our streets darker longer and the need to replace burnt-out lights or non-operational fixtures over garage doors is more apparent. Home  Depot, Lowe's, Sam's and Costco carry the low-energy, longer-lasting LED motion-detecting fixtures at reasonable prices. Several homeowners have updated their fixtures.

ü  NEW NEIGHBOORS AT SOJOURN & WESTGROVE--Addison's Town Council approved a request in November by Knight Renovations to rezone property at the corner of Westgrove and Sojourn to allow for Knight Renovations' new office/warehouse and private fueling. Knight is a construction and renovation company currently based in Richardson. The Council recognized the proximity of the new business to Addison Place and added a condition that all loading and unloading must take place on the interior portion of the building. Construction fence is up!

ü  Monthly meetings of the Addison Place Homeowners Association are scheduled for the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Club House.
