Wi-Fi COMING TO OUR NORTH PARK—According to Michael Kashuba, Addison’s Parks director, Spectrum, the cable provider, is currently activating free Wi-Fi for our North Park. It should be active in the next 30 days.

“Spectrum, has recently begun a nationwide initiative to deploy and offer WiFi services to municipalities, campuses, stadiums, malls, and populated areas such as parks and plazas. Addison is one of the first cities chosen for the program and will soon be offering FREE WiFi coverage at eleven of its parks and the Addison Athletic Club. Non-Spectrum customers will be able to use free Wi-Fi service up to 60 minutes per day. Spectrum will manage and support the network at no cost to Addison.” –Addison News

MOSQUITO SPRAYING—Received results of the April 20, 2017 “Mosquito Spraying on Private Property” letter from the Town requesting homeowners’ permission to set and monitor traps. And, if mosquitos found, spray for West Nile and other mosquito-borne viruses.

As of the June 28, 2017 letter,”… the Town has received permission from 58 of the 174 property owners. This represents just 33.33%. Based on this response, the Town will not move forward with expanding this program to the Addison Place neighborhood at this time…”

This is a friendly reminder to dispose of your trash in a one-way plastic bag and

not in a trash can. If a trash can is used, it may be thrown away with the rest of your garbage. If the trash can is thrown away, it will not be replaced by the Town or CWD. Thank you for your efforts to improve trash services in Addison Place.
