About

Welcome

I'm a linguist about to complete my PhD (May 2019) from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary, and currently reside in Ontario, Canada. I research human language and communication as a cognitive science and take a multidisciplinary approach to Linguistics, working on projects that intersect with Biology, Psychology, and Neuroscience.

My current PhD research, under the supervision of Balázs Surányi and Katalin Mády, focuses on the interface between prosody, syntax and information structure in Hungarian.

I am also doing work in language acquisition, focusing on the role of prosody in infant-directed speech.
