Welcome to our new Adams Principal,
Mrs. Patty Thomason!
The Norman Board of Education has approved the district’s recommendation to hire Patricia Thomason as Adams Elementary School’s new principal.
Thomason began educating Norman students in 1998, when she joined NPS as a classroom teacher at Adams Elementary. She also served as an instructional coach at the school, where she helped guide instruction, mentor teachers and collaborated with staff to ensure resources were adequately used to meet students’ needs. Most recently, Thomason served as an assistant principal at Roosevelt Elementary.
“Ms. Thomason is a proven leader in our district,” said Dr. Joe Siano, NPS Superintendent. “She brings a wealth of knowledge to Adams Elementary and students will benefit from her previous experience at the school and commitment to educational excellence.”
Thomason has been recognized as a site-specific Teacher of the Year and featured as Magic 104.1’s Teacher of the Week. She also serves on several leadership committees within the district, including the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support committee, a Title I committee and the district’s reading committee.
