All classes will be held from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.
 
 
  • THURSDAY - JUNE 5 - Front Conference Room
    • Dating Old Photographs - Learn how to identify the factors that help you place your photos into a certain time period
 
  • THURSDAY - JUNE 12 - Front Conference Room
    • Lab - Let's Date Your Photographs
    • Bring your photos to be used in a demonstration for the class to apply the principles learned the previous week
 
  • WEDNESDAY - JUNE 18 - Computer Room
    • Ancestry - Learn how to narrow your search in Ancestry.com's database
 
  • WEDNESDAY - JUNE 25 - Computer Room
    • FamilySearch.com - Investigate this free site and the ongoing digitization of records for Genealogists.
 
  • THURSDAY - JULY 3 - Front Conference Room
    • ORGANIZING YOUR GENEALOGY MESS - We all have piles of paper - come and learn about ways to organize your genealogy information both physically (binders and folders) and electronically.
 
  • THURSDAY - JULY 17 - Front Conference Room
    • LAND RECORDS:  METES & BOUNDS - If you have (or will have) ancestors in the early states where the land records are recorded in metes and bounds, come join us for a hands-on class to learn how to plat the land.
 
 
  • WEDNESDAY - JULY 23 - Computer Lab
    • LAND RECORDS:  RECTANGULAR SYSTEM - If your ancestors lived anywhere other than the earliest states, their land is measured in townships and ranges.  Please join us to learn how to search for their homestead lands and how to plat their land.

    • U.S.GenWeb & More! - Learn about the state pages and resources on USGenWeb and other available genealogy and non-genealogy websites.
