Photos of us

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our ceremony and reception will both take place at The University Club of St. Paul - Downtown Clubhouse.  It is an absolutely stunning venue.  Our ceremony will take place in the main ballroom and then the room will be flipped for the reception.

After the ceremony, everyone will be heading to the lobby for the cocktail hour.  Below are photos of the ballroom and the lobby area.

Also, to keep the ceremony more sincere and meaningful to the two of us, our good friend Doug will be our officiant.

These two above photos are of the ballroom set up for a ceremony.  We have rented white chair covers, no sashes from Deckci Decor as well.

Here is the lobby area above.  There will be tall cocktail tables and a lot of candles to make the room glow!

Lighting

We are having an evening candle lit ceremony.  I love the lighting in the above photos - romantic, intimate, and glowing.  We will be having a candle lit aisle too!

And I would love to decorate the fireplace like the photos above.  I most likely would re-use the centerpieces in the reception as well.  I love it!!

Update:  We decided to have the fireplace lit to create more warmth in the big marble room.

Flowers

These area some of my idea for the alter arrangement flowers.  I will then re-purpose these for the reception on the harvest table.

Update:  I can't wait to see how the alter arrangements turn out.  They are going to have some massive height to them.  They will be about 5 feet tall and then re-purposed as our head table arrangements.  I can't wait to see how these big "trees" turn out.  They are composed of tall curly willow, hydrangea, delphinium and other flowers.

Paper Items

We are having our good friend help design all of our paper products.  To cut down on paper, I am thinking of having a program similar to the one above.  Our ceremony is only going to last about 30 minutes so I don't see the need in spending lots of money on programs.  I would rather spend it on other wedding goodies.

Seat Savers

I plan on making signs to reserve the front seats for immediate family.

Aisle Runner

I am going to make an aisle runner using a customized monogram from our invites as pictured above.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bouquets

I would like for all of the bridesmaids and myself to have white and green bouquets with texture, a variety of blooms, and greenery - mine mostly white, theirs mostly green.

Update:  The bouquets will be composed of hydrangea, dahlias, ranunculus, freesia, english roses, and greenery.  The bridesmaids will have fern shoots in their bouquets as well.

Boutonnieres

For the groomsmen, simple all white flower (freesia) with a bit of greenery, thistle or berries.

Ring Bearer

I love the look of this ring bearer pillow.  My grandma will be making it for me!

Update:  It looks exactly the same!

Unity Candle

I am going to be making my own unity candle set and hopefully it will look as beautiful as above.

Here is our unity candle set!  It's crystal and super beautiful in real life.
