General Description

House of the Tragic Poet House of the Large Fountain House of the Small Fountain Reg VI, Ins 8 lies along the southern boundary of Regio VI as delineated by the Via della Fortuna. To the north it is bound by the Vico di Mercurio, to the east by the Via di Mercurio and to the west by the Via della Fullonica.

The insula contains a mix of shops, bars and domestic properties. Of the dwellings in the insula, the House of the Tragic Poet, the House of the Large Fountain and the House of the Small Fountain are worthy of note and are all examined in more detail here.
