Reg IX, Ins 3

..
General Description

House of Marcus Lucretius
Reg IX, Ins 3 lies on the west side of Regio IX, on the Via Stabiana immediately south of the Central Baths (Reg IX, Ins 4, 5).

Shops line the west (Via Stabiana) and south sides of the insula. The larger commercial premises are in many instances combined with living accommodation. Of the few houses in the insula, the House of Marcus Lucretius is one of the better preserved and is examined here in more detail.
