Reg I, Ins 6 lies on the south side of the Via dell'Abbondanza immediately to the east of Insula 4. The insula contains mostly domestic properties as shown in the detailed list below.
The properites include the House of the Cryptoporticus, the House of the Lararium and the House of the Ceii. The insula also contains a well preserved example of a working laundry, the Fullonica of Stephanus described under the section 'Shops and Businesses'.
