Gin-Gin Mule

Make two drinks


1/4 cup lime juice

2 tablespoons simple syrup  

12 to 14 mint leaves, torn

4 ounces and a splash of ginger beer, divided

3 ounces Tanqueray gin

Splash of soda water

Garnish: slice of lime & crystallized ginger

Simple Syrup:

1 cup granulated sugar 

1 cup water in a saucepan

For the simple syrup, combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil for a few seconds. Set aside to cool.

Muddle the lime juice, simple syrup, and mint leaves together in the bottom of a pitcher or shaker. Add 4 ounces of ginger beer and gin. Stir well. Pour into a glass filled with ice, and top with additional ginger beer and splash of soda water. Garnish with crystalized ginger and a sprig of mint.
