1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, divided
1 bag (16oz) marshmallows, divided
4 cups regular crisped rice cereal
4 cups chocolate crisped rice cereal
Grease a 9x13” pan
Melt half of the butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat and add the pinch of salt. Add half of the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add regular crisped rice cereal and stir until cereal is coated in the melted marshmallows.
Pour the crisped rice and marshmallow mixture into the greased pan and smooth out into an even layer. Allow to cool, and then press down into a firm, even layer.
While the first layer is cooling, clean out the pan and repeat the above steps with the cocoa rice krispies. Pour the cocoa krispie marshmallow mixtureonto the first batch and smooth out into a second layer. Allow to cool, and press down once more into a firm, even layer. Then eat immediately. (cause they’re awesome)
