August/September Message from Principal Skrobela
Dear ACMS Families,
Let me take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2012-13 school year at Adams City Middle School. My name is Jennifer Skrobela and I am the principal of ACMS. I am both honored and excited to serve in the position of principal and am committed to make every effort necessary for the success of your child and our school!
We just completed our third week of the school year; overall, we are off to an amazing start! Please ask your child about their new teachers and what they learning in all of their classes. In addition, please ask your child to explain ‘Reasonable Requests’ to you; we use ‘reasonable requests’ to help maintain academically focused classrooms. By listening to and following reasonable requests, students will increase the probability of being successful in and outside of the classroom.
This year we will also be focusing on developing an anti-bullying campaign with our Parent-Teacher-Student Organization; if you are interested in assisting us with our campaign, please contact the ACMS main office about our next meeting. Working together we will help all of our Eagles make respectful, responsible choices!
From an academic standpoint we continue to raise our expectations. We are in the process of developing and implementing a number of honors classes, stay tuned for more information.
I am looking forward to our year together! Our Vision
Adams City Middle School develops knowledgeable learners through active inquiry and global awareness and responsible citizens who maintain respectful relationships with others.
