Outreach Vision 2007

I desire to be part of a church that...

My name is Greg Gates and I arrived as the pastor @ Life Church in September of 2003. Our family moved here from Los Angeles. And no, the winters aren't as bad as people around here will say (except for February). I grew up a missionary kid in Brazil and went to school in San Diego and seminary in Kansas City. I then planted a Nazarene church in Lewiston, Maine and that is where I met Diane and all three of our boys (Alex b. 1988, Mason b. 1992, and Andrew b. 1996) were born there. We moved back to California in 1998 and now we're here.

Hi! I'm Amanda Cash and I'm the youth pastor here @ Life Church. I've been married to Daniel since March 2004. We both graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY, which is where we met-although I'm a northern girl at
heart, having grown up in Michigan. I love spending time with my family: besides Daniel, there's our son Ethan, born in June 2006, and our Boxer, Jack. I'm in youth ministry because I love God and love
students! The best part about my job is seeing students grow in their relationships with God and one another. Come check out what's going on at Common Ground--we'd love to have you!

PLACES: I love pretty much anywhere that it's hot and sunny with water
nearby (aka, the beach)--especially Southern California. Outside of
that I love Maine & northern Michigan for camping and Atlanta, GA for
city life. And Ann Arbor, MI--the best college town in the country!
TYPE OF MUSIC: I try to stay away from bluegrass and techno. And Barry Manilow.
MUSIC GROUPS: U2, David Crowder Band, Switchfoot, Leeland, Coldplay,
John Mayer, Anathallo, Mae, Starfield
BOOKS: Anything by John Eldredge or Brennan Manning, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, Gregory Maguire's fairy tales (Wicked, The Ugly Stepsister, etc.)
TV: The Office, Scrubs, and Law & Order: SVU
SPORT TEAMS: Michigan Wolverines (football)
MOVIES: Napoleon Dynamite, Big Fish, & Pirates of the Caribbean are current favorites
HOBBIES: Spending time with Daniel, Ethan, & our friends, camping, video games, surfing the net, and learning to snowboard & whitewater kayak
DISLIKES: Doing dishes, going to Wal-Mart on Saturday, showering at camp or other "gross" places
ODD FACT: When I was younger, I could peel a banana with my feet.
LIFE SCRIPTURE: "Dear, dear friends, I can't tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn't fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren't
small, but you're living them in a small way. I'm speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!" ~2 Corinthians 6:11-13
Hey everyone, my name is Jason Day and I am the new Worship Leader for Life Church @ North site.   I was born in Kentucky, raised in Ohio and lived in California for 8 years. My wife Kim, our son Dylan (born Oct. 2006), and I will move to Watertown in March of 2007. We are so excited to be a part of the Life Church family and the Watertown community. We enjoy spending time with friends, watching movies, walking our dogs and shoveling snow………..nope.

We have been in the worship ministry for 7 years now and God keeps calling, so we keep answering. Nothing excites me more than being in a group of people who are fired up about worshiping God. Here at Life Church we are people who are committed to Go-ing after the lost and meeting people right where they are with the love of Jesus. So come and join the movement that is going on here. God is on the move, are you?

ODD FACT: I once got hit in the head with a Shot-Putt. It’s a long story.
LIFE SCRIPTURE: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord – Jeremiah 29:11-14

Hey, I'm Dan Hazelton, I moved here in 2003 from Southern California in the area of Disneyland, maybe that's why I am so "goofy" (insert rim shot here). The number one question I hear since moving to Watertown is, "Why in the world did you move here?"… easy answer, "God called me here and I love it !" I look forward to seeing how God, a bunch of new friends and I can impact our community and world for Jesus.

The number two question I am asked is, "Can you go back to where you came from?" And now for the stats: Married since 1986 to my high school sweet-heart, 3 kids born in 2002 David, 1997 Austin, and 1994 Kassie. I am a preacher's kid, business man, child abuse prevention advocate and pastor called to full-time ministry with churches since 1998. I have lived all over the United States except for the east (I can't say that anymore).

Come on over and jump on in! The water is fine and there is room for you! Make sure to look me up and introduce yourself.

I am Terri Ward, a mom and a wife. My passions are ballet (the nerd in me), antiqing, young people (I know, crazy right?), reading and loving God in all kinds of different ways. One way is being Life Church Children's Ministry Director. I love God using me for His vision for kids. I get to play with toys, experiment with stuff that makes kids tick and brainstorming all kinds of crazy, fun, colorful ways to get kids excited about Jesus. I am also the church secretary so I get to work with a great team of ministers at the Watertown Church! (I am not kissing up, I really mean it!) Anyway, God finds ways to keep me young at heart all the time.
