Using High Pass Filter

using high pass filter
    pass filter
  • A band-pass filter is a device that passes frequencies within a certain range and rejects (attenuates) frequencies outside that range. An example of an analogue electronic band-pass filter is an RLC circuit (a resistor–inductor–capacitor circuit).
    high
  • A high point, level, or figure
  • at a great altitude; "he climbed high on the ladder"
  • A notably happy or successful moment
  • A high-frequency sound or musical note
  • a lofty level or position or degree; "summer temperatures reached an all-time high"
  • greater than normal in degree or intensity or amount; "a high temperature"; "a high price"; "the high point of his career"; "high risks"; "has high hopes"; "the river is high"; "he has a high opinion of himself"

Using Kriging to Interpolate Spatially Distributed Volumetric Medical Data
This is a AIR FORCE INST OF TECH WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB OH SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING report procured by the Pentagon and made available for public release. It has been reproduced in the best form available to the Pentagon. It is not spiral-bound, but rather assembled with Velobinding in a soft, white linen cover. The Storming Media report number is A931123. The abstract provided by the Pentagon follows: Routine cases in diagnostic radiology require the interpolation of volumetric medical imaging data sets. Inaccurate renditions of interpolated volumes can lead to the misdiagnosis of a patient's condition. It is therefore essential that interpolated modality space estimates accurately portray patient space. Kriging is investigated in this research to interpolate medical imaging volumes. Kriging requires data to be spatially distributed. Therefore, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data is shown to exhibit spatially regionalized characteristics such that it can be modeled using regionalized variables and subsequently be interpolated using kriging. A comprehensive, automated, three- dimensional structural analysis of the MRI data is accomplished to derive a mathematical model of spatial variation about each interpolated point. Kriging uses these models to compute estimates of minimal estimation variance. Estimation accuracy of the kriged, interpolated MRI volume is demonstrated to exceed that achieved using trilinear interpolation if the derived model of spatial variation sufficiently represents the regionalized neighborhoods about each interpolated voxel. Models of spatial variation that assume an ellipsoid extent with orthogonal axes of continuity are demonstrated to insufficiently characterize modality space MRI data. Model accuracy is concluded to be critical to achieve estimation accuracies that exceed those of trilinear interpolation.

I wasn't satisfied with the first one... so I went to a beach! The weird thing is, I got home and all my beautiful sunset pictures that looked GREAT in-camera were dark and blurry. Poo. Even this one was not very sharp; I'll have to see what the problem was. You know all those little photography and photoshop tips you pick up, but hardly ever using? I used an interesting one today that saved this picture from the trash can of blurry doom. Step 1: Be in Photoshop (CS5 it's in, dunno about others.) Step 2: Duplicate the background layer. Step 3: Under "Filter" (at the top) go to "other" - "high pass." Step 4: Dork with the settings until you are confident it's not affecting noise. Apply. Step 5: There's a list of ways the top layer messes with the bottom layers. Set that to overlay. Viola! Sharp picture.

Rode NTG2 Condenser Shotgun Microphone
The RODE NTG2 is a new, lightweight condenser shotgun microphone, designed for professional applications within the film, video, television and production industries. The NTG2 provides a balanced low impedance output stage and operates either from an internal 1.5 V battery (AA) or 48 V phantom power. A wide bandwidth and controlled polar response coupled with low noise SMT electronics, makes the NTG2 the perfect choice for film, video engineering and voice-over work. The NTG2 is extremely lightweight making it ideal for mounting directly to video cameras or on boom poles.
