Han Piggott

I am a professionally qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I provide counselling on an open ended basis or for an agreed time period.

My approach is integrative, drawing mainly on humanistic and existential theories, motivational interviewing and brief solution focused therapy. This approach allows me to adapt a wide range of skills to meet the needs of each unique individual

I can offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, where I hope we can build a collaborative and therapeutic relationship. This I feel is the foundation of working effectively together. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, that you should have the control and the freedom to make your own choices. I also recognise the potential for you to find your own meaning and path in life. My role is to help you explore your concerns, with a hope that you can gain greater clarity, insight and perspective in order to find a way forward.

I have experience within a range of settings from an Employee Counselling Service to working with young people in Higher Education. I have particular expertise in counselling people affected by alcohol and drug use and adults who have experienced sexual abuse.
