    radiant heat
  • (radiant heating) A method of heating, usually consisting of a forced hot water system with pipes placed in the floor, wall, or ceiling, or with electrically heated panels.
  • (radiant heating) heating a building by radiation from panels containing hot water or electrical heaters
  • Thermal radiation is electromagnetic radiation emitted from a material which is due to the heat of the material, the characteristics of which depend on its temperature. An example of thermal radiation is the infrared radiation emitted by a common household radiator or electric heater.
  • The oldest formation of rocks underlying a particular area
  • (based) having a base; "firmly based ice"
  • The floor of a building partly or entirely below ground level
  • the lowermost portion of a structure partly or wholly below ground level; often used for storage
  • the ground floor facade or interior in Renaissance architecture
  • The lower surface of a room, on which one may walk
  • All the rooms or areas on the same level of a building; a story
  • the inside lower horizontal surface (as of a room, hallway, tent, or other structure); "they needed rugs to cover the bare floors"; "we spread our sleeping bags on the dry floor of the tent"
  • shock: surprise greatly; knock someone's socks off; "I was floored when I heard that I was promoted"
  • A level area or space used or designed for a particular activity
  • a structure consisting of a room or set of rooms at a single position along a vertical scale; "what level is the office on?"

EcoFoil 4' X 125' Double Bubble Reflective Foil Insulation, Radiant Barrier (500 sq. ft.)
EcoFoil 4' X 125' Double Bubble Reflective Foil Insulation, Radiant Barrier (500 sq. ft.)
EcoFoil Double Bubble Reflective Insulation (Foil both sides) is constructed with a double layer of polyethylene bubbles bonded between 2 layers of 99.9% pure aluminum radiant barrier. All radiant barriers need at least a small amount of air space on both sides for the foil to reflect properly. Our foil bubble insulation can be applied in tight spaces like basement walls or between floor joists and serve both as an insulator AND a radiant barrier, because the double bubble layer provides maximum R-value, as well as that air space which the foil needs to properly reflect radiant heat. EcoFoil reflective insulation is specially designed for use in residential, commercial and HVAC applications to reduce radiant heat gain or loss, and eliminate condensation. This style works especially well in metal and post frame buildings, but can be used in a variety of applications because it is lightweight, easy to handle, yet provides superior protection. The foil on both sides allows it to reflect 97% of radiant heat away from a structure on the outside and back into a structure from the inside - thus working effectively in both hot and cold climates. This "green" insulation will pay for itself quickly, by significantly reducing the amount of heat leaving or entering any structure where it is applied, therefore making your building or living space more comfortable while reducing overall energy utility costs.

Concrete forms are built for slab and footers. Below grade insulation, radon barrier and radiant floor heat tubing placed. Ready for concrete (which we actually had poured today, the weather cooperated and all is well).
