The keystone panel has all the jacks wired up to 1.5' jumpers ending in RJ45 plugs. This gives a single "panel" to plug everything in yet allows the use of multiple components. The black unit is a Belkin F5D7230-4 (version 5) which is my favorite cheap wireless router of all time. It's set up to act as only an access point, but that's reconfigurable on the fly. The white is a Netgear gigabit 5-port switch. I've spent months looking for something else so I didn't have to give up that switch, but I've had no luck finding 10/100 gear that will run on 12v and a requirement of the project was plug-and-play power so everything needed to run on the same voltage.
