Microlophus theresiae male from La Mina beach in Paracas. Note the orange ring around the eye -a species distinctive trait- and the blue & yellow trait -a male sexual attribute.

 

 

 

 







The subspecies Microlophus thoracicus icae is only known from an area extending from Paracas south to the city of Ica. It differs from peruvianus and theresiae by having a black spot on its humeral folds.
