Sloping floors, crooked windows, and doors that rub are all signs that a building may have lost its structural integrity. As seen here, a support joist hewn to actual 2"X4" dimensions has busted under the stress. In this case, either the joists were spaced to far apart, or the floor was overloaded. We recommend that this joist be replaced or "sistered" by a licensed Framing Contractor.

A furnace with dust buildup can be a fire hazard.

A furnace with dust build up can be a fire hazard, especially older ones like this that do not have current safety switches in place. Remember to clean your furnace annually. We would recommend that this unit be replaced by a licensed HVAC Contractor, or at minimum that it be thoroughly cleaned before being put back into service.

Here's a situation where a water heater exhaust vent was too close to combustible material. Although it is a good idea to insulate your plumbing lines, make sure they are at least 6" away from the exhaust vent. This one was in contact with the vent. I trimmed it onsite without charge to prevent future issues.
