What is Pilates?
First, Pilates is a workout that focuses on Breathing, Centering, Control, Precision, We also incorporate principles of rehabilitation, but rehabilitation does not represent the fundamental purpose of Pilates.
Developed from the rehabilitation techniques of Joseph Pilates, Pilates is a safe, sensible exercise system using a floor mat and/or equipment that will help you look and feel very best [no matter what your age or physical condition].
Pilates challenges your body as a whole, with an ordered sequence of exercises that target your deep, core muscles. Pilates is an integrated system of Mind-Body exercise evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates.
Every member of this studio receives personalized instruction based on an individual fitness plan developed when you start the program. If you have an injury or special condition, we will accommodate it with special progressions and or modifications with your Doctor, Chiropractor or Physical Therapist permissions.
