Abhishek Singh
Computer Vision and Machine Learning Researcher

About me

I am an ML Researcher at Apple in the San Francisco Bay Area. I develop AI technologies to create delightful camera and photography experiences on Apple products.

Before joining Apple, I was a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon Lab126 in the San Francisco Bay Area. I developed new computer vision and machine learning technologies for Amazon's devices such as the Echo Look, Echo Show and Cloud Cam.

I obtained a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Feb 2015. I worked with Prof. Narendra Ahuja in the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and TechnologyAt the University of Illinois, I was the recipient of  the Joan and Lalit Bahl Fellowship from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and a Fellowship from the Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) program, for interdisciplinary and computation oriented research.

I earned a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida at Gainesville in 2010, where I worked with Prof. Jose C. Principe on neural networks and adaptive signal processing problems.

I have been affiliated with Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab (MERL), Cambridge, MA (2013), Siemens Corporate Research, Princeton, NJ (2011), and UtopiaCompression Corporation, Los Angeles, CA (2009).
