ere in the Abbondanzieri Lab, we are interested in how enzymes recognize, assemble on, and organize nucleic acids. These interactions are fundamental to all living systems.

Our particular areas of interest focus on two areas: (1) Enzymes from HIV and other retroviruses which are major targets of antiretroviral drugs and (2) DNA protection enzymes from bacteria which rearrange the bacterial genome in response to cellular stress.


We are excited to be located in the new Department of Bionanoscience at TU Delft. We are also part of the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience.
