STEM Programs

Science, Technology, Engineering, Math ==  STEM

Starting in fall 2016, we are promoting STEM Adventures, a small program of hands-on workshops for girls of grades 6,7,8 at the Museum of International Cultures. Parents and teachers are also welcome to sign-up but seating is limited. The programs  are held in the upstairs workrooms and there is no elevator. For more information, see our current AAUW branch website.

We held one event in October 2016. The  workshop topics were  "Electronics Magic" (by electronics engineer Jaime Hunter) and "Designing for Flight" (by Lockheed Martin engineer Candy Robinson).
Photos from Oct. 15 are in the file Oct 15 STEM Photos.pdf in the file list at bottom of this page.
