Join AAUW and become part of an organization that is working to promote equity for women and girls.

Membership in AAUW and its affiliated branches is open to anyone (male or female) with a 2-year college degree or higher. The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. Annual dues for the 2016-2017 year are $69. This includes $49 for national AAUW, $10 for AAUW Texas and $10 for the Southwest Dallas County branch. If you join during April through June 2016, your $69 covers membership through June 2017.

For the year 2017-2018, the Texas AAUW dues will increase to $13 so the total will be $72. The national dues may be increased in 2018.

You can join (1)  via the national AAUW webpage or (2) by sending your payment and information to our branch.

(1) At the national AAUW website  you can use their system to pay by credit card. From the Home page, go to the topic of MEMBERSHIP. Be sure to select the option to join a branch,  and then locate our branch in the list of Texas branches: we are  TX7099, Southwest Dallas County.  Be aware that if you simply select the join AAUW option, you will only be registered for the national membership. However, if you do not want to get involved in our branch activities, that is an option.

(2) If you prefer to join directly via our branch, you can write a check to Southwest Dallas County AAUW for the $69 and we submit your information to the national system, which also passes it to the Texas AAUW.  We need this information :
your legal name,
your preferred first name / nick name (for our branch members),
mailing address,
phone numbers (home, work, and cell), and email address,
your highest degree, the year received, the institution name and state.
Contact  Penny Ball at or 972-709-1957 if you have questions. Mail your check and the membership info to Penny Ball, Southwest Dallas County AAUW, 1415 Country Ridge Dr, DeSoto TX 75115.
