Deutsche Woche in Bar Harbor is organized every year by the Maine Chapter of AATG and is held on the beautiful campus of the College of the Atlantic. Participants are expected to stay on campus and agree to speak German exclusively during the week. Topics and instructors change each year, but topics are always geared towards immediate classroom use. Above all, you will be immersed in German the entire week, spend evenings engaged in conversation, culturally relevant activities, film evenings and music. One afternoon is open to an activity of your choice – possibilities range from exploring nearby Acadia National Park, kayaking, sailing or shopping and relaxing in a Café in Bar Harbor. Participants can choose to receive either CEUs or 3 graduate credits from Elms College.
