WAFLT- COFLT Fall Conference:

The WAFLT-COFLT Bi-State 2018 Fall Conference will be held on October 12-13, 2018, in Portland, OR at the Jantzen Beach Red Lion. The call for proposals is now open until April 30, 2018, or until program fills.


Tournées Film Festival - Western Washington University

On behalf of the French Section of the Department of Modern & Classical Languages, the Department of English, the History Department, and the Ray Wolpow Institute for the Study of the Holocaust, Genocide, and Crimes Against Humanity, I would like to personally invite you and a guest to the opening night reception of the Tournées French Film Festival at Western Washington University. The catered reception begins at 6:15 pm on Monday, April 9th in the Viking Union, Room 565 B/C on the campus of Western Washington University.


The opening night film, François Ozon's 2016 award-winning drama, Frantz, will follow at 7pm just down the hall in Viking Union, Room 552. A pre- and post-screening discussion of the film will be led by Senior Instructor of French and festival coordinator, Scott Taylor. Admission is free. 


Below is a list of the titles and dates of all six films to be shown during the festival.  All films are subtitled in English, include a pre- and post-show discussion led by various members of Western's faculty, and start at 7pm in Viking Union, Room 552.*
