WSJ-Detroit property taxes highest in Nation

This article gives a good look at how property taxes for the average family are a shockingly large % of their income. Even more interesting is that there are allot of Detroit residence who are at or below the national poverty level which means the % of tax for them is even greater and more shocking.

It is a very disturbing sign and should have been a wake up call (decades ago) to the city's leadership that when the average citizen, if they were able to find employment, would certainly struggle and be crushed by the levied taxes. If your citizens who can find employment still can't afford to live/survive your system is CLEARLY broken.

And some people still don't understand why the beginning of most of my solutions revolve around personal finance and financial literacy.
