1st A350 delivery: 08/08/2018

Sichuan Airlines in September 2016 signed an agreement to lease 3 A350-900s from AerCap as well as 1 more A350-900 from Air Lease Corporation. Deliveries of the AerCap frames are scheduled to start in 2017, the 3 aircraft being the ones not taken up by SriLankan Airlines. Using its A350XWB, 3U will start direct flight between Chengdu and New York City. The state-of-the-art Airbus aircraft will supplement the carrier's existing fleet of A330s and will mainly operate across the Pacific.

As small chinese cities are getting more and more important, Sichuan's business model combined with the A350s looks very promising. In that matter, it is very likely that 3U will order/lease more new twinjets, either from China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CAS), which has an order for 40, or other foreign leasing companies.
