AIRBUS A350

A350s in fleet: 11 (OH-LWA, OH-LWB, OH-OWC, OH-LWD, OH-LWE, OH-LWF, OH-LWG, OH-LWH, OH-LWI, OH-LWK, OH-LWL)

1st A350 delivery: 07/10/2015

Finnair ordered its first A350 in 2007 and has now 19 on order. These 19 new aircraft are meant to replace the carriers aging A340-300s as well as the A330-300s later on. By 2023, the A350 should be the only aircraft in Finnair's long-haul fleet. The A350s enables Finnair to open new routes to Asia, a key market for the airline.

The first AY A350 was handed over to the airline on the 7th of October 2015 and the first commercial flight from Helsinki to Amsterdam took place two days later. Today, the A350 has taken over routes previously operated by A340s, which operated its last passenger service in early 2017.

We expect Finnair to make great use of this state-of-the-art aircraft by opening new routes, increasing frequencies to existing destinations and improving the comfort for the passengers.
