medium-haul & short-haul A319-100, ATR 72-500

A350s in fleet: 2 (3B-NBP, 3B-NBQ)

1st A350 delivery: 20/10/2017

Air Mauritius signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus for six A350-900s during the Farnborough Air Show in July 2014. The new aircraft are intended to replace the aging fleet of six A340-300s.The first two A350s are due to be delivered in 2017 through operating leases from AerCap, with the next four (which are directly purchased from Airbus) scheduled to arrive between 2019 and 2020.

The A350 will be a key element to modernize the fleet and will improve the airline's overall products for the customers significantly. We expect Air Mauritius to benefit from the outstanding performance of the A350, allowing them to even resume terminated routes (like e.g. Frankfurt, Amsterdam).

Due to the remote location of Air Mauritius' hub, the A350 is an indispensable aircraft for the future of the airline.
