Finding Kate Huntley
During a vacation in the Caribbean, fifteen-year old Kate Huntley’s father, a prominent U.S. scientist, is murdered before her eyes. For the next ten years Kate grows up alone in Haiti, one of the most dangerous and poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t think of her father. Kate pushes herself to become stronger, mentally and physically. Every day is a struggle for survival. And yet she lives for only one reason…revenge.

While looking for a drug lord via satellite in Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital, Jack Coffey, rookie FBI agent, spots Kate Huntley. Jack is sent by the agency to find Ms. Huntley and bring her back to the States. They have many unanswered questions about her father’s death. A professional and responsible man, Jack is confused by Kate’s lack of cooperation. He wants to help her return to the States where he believes she’ll be safe, but she treats him like the enemy and refuses to go. Everything about her is a contradiction. She looks fragile and innocent, but every time he turns around she’s putting another thug in his place. In the beginning Jack wonders if Kate’s distrust of his superiors is warranted or just simple paranoia. In the end, Jack realizes nothing is as it seems.

Today I went for a little plane ride over the Madison area, and for dirt cheap at that. Today was the 50th annual "Waunakee Fly-In Breakfast," back home and I couldnt pass this oppurtunity up after missing out on the helicopter ride at the state fair. For tthe cheap price of $31 dollars, one could enjoy all the yummy pancakes, sausage, and orange juice to their hearts desire. But on top of great food, the $31 covered also a 25-30 minute flight with a local pilot: really $25 bucks for a flight? How do they do I dont know, but I knew that this year after battling rain and haze for a good picture at the fly-in I had to go again. After doing a bit of research last night after loading my picture, I found that the best advice is to use a prime lens and use fast shutter speeds. Obviously being up higher in the sky, although not actually much closer to the sun then being on the ground: I found it quite easy that the early morning sun helped with faster shutter speeds. Shooting around f2.8-4 on my 50mm f2 AI kept my shutter speed up but also maintained a great amount of sharpness and detail in my shots. I was quite impressed as well, because I didnt change my lens once during the entire flight! Last year I shot the capitol so this year I tired to shoot some different angles, and I was pleased with the way the world looked thru the lens. Going more for the shapes and curvatures of landscapes, we passed over Madison West High School. Which just happens to be next to one of the largest cemetarys in the Madison area, I only managed to snap one frame and kept the camera to my eye after words not even bothering to look at my shots. When I finally got home tonight, I started to to see that most of my shots of Madison from the sky were cliche and overdone which although it is something that i havent shot, others have seen it. The cemetary shot popped out with a black and white edit in photoshop elements 7, although very small the shadows created by the early morning glow really popped out. The curve of the road in the corner, or the diagonal cutting thru the frame. Or if you follow the road from bottum left and find the dead tree shadow on the road, just way too cool! What really kills me the most is the high school practice fields are not far, as seen upper right hand corner. Interesting that the school would decide to build/play so close to the cemetary. Obviously one came before the other, but maybe at one time one was initially smaller and then grew larger? All in all a good day!
I need a cheap flight to Brazil!!!!
I need a cheap flight to Brazil!!!!
First reason... I miss my family... second reason.... MUSE will be there next month. With the petrol price mess there is no way I find a cheap flight anywhere. I think maybe a boat will be the solution. How long would I take to sail across the Atlantic Ocean? hahaha I am thinking about it. E melhor eu comecar hoje. hahaha
