Welcome to the 9th Pickering Scouts Group 

Scouts Canada is a Non-Profit Community Collaborative organization where Youth and their Parents or Guardians are able to have fun adventures together.  Parents of Scouting youth and others from the community come together with or without skills to learn how to deliver a quality program. 

Through training and mentoring, Scouting Volunteers acquire new skills, friendships and have an opportunity to experience the adventures and fun their youth experincing in Scouting.

At 9th Pickering, we are a very active group who like to get out into the community & help our environment through many different activities like shoreline clean ups,  tree planting and  other fun activities & camps. 

As we don’t collect weekly dues nor charge additional group fees, we rely 100% on community fund raising to pay for weekly supplies, equipment and to allows us to subsidize camp and activity fees.

In 20224-2025 we are operating five youth sections in the Ajax - Pickering Community

• Beaver Scouts - aged 5-7 (S.K.- Grade 2) 

  • Wednesdays at Pickering Village United Church & various outdoor locations. 6:45pm - 8:00pm

• Cub Scouts - aged 8-10 (Grade 3 - Grade 5) 

  • Mondays at Pickering Village United Church  & various outdoor locations 6:30pm - 8:00pm

• Scouts - aged 11-14 (Grade 6 - Grade 9) 

  • Thursdays at Pickering Village United Church, 300 Church St. N Ajax 

and various outdoor locations  6:30pm - 8:00pm

• Venture Scouts - aged 15-17 (Grade 10 - Grade 12) 

  • Various nights and times as decided by the company. 

• Rover Scouts - aged 18 - 26 (Post Secondary)

  • Various times as decided by the rover crew

Youth are always invited to visit and try out Scouts for a few nights to ensure Scouting is a good fit.
