The Nash Metropolitan is a little two seater coupe or convertible, famed for its cutesy looks, almost fully enclosed wheels, and vibrant two-tone paint jobs. Very fifties. Built by Austin in England for Nash Kelvinator, it combined that cuddliness with some real luxury car features, like part leather interiors, standard radios, whitewalls, and a jaunty continental spare. And, it has this classy hood ornament, that almost seems outsized compared to the car. Naturally I don't seem to have a shot of the whole car! Fun fact-Granny, from the Tweety and Sylvester cartoons, drives a Metropolitan.
