So, I was in Denmark this last week and I flew on Continental which was a wonderful airline but only flies out from Copenhagen to the US once a day. Well, Simon and I were going to take the train to the airport from the town he lives in which is called Odense. It is about 90 minutes from there to the airport on the express train. However, there were no express trains available, which would make the trip significantly longer. Oh well, we had to get up earlier, but then we discovered, we'd be up so early that there wouldn't be anyone in the ticket booth to sell us a ticket. So then we tried to buy one online. But, when we tried to do that, the website suddenly would not allow us to buy the ticket. It works all the time, but just not this time. Okay, so we thought we would drive. We decided to do this and then Simon's GPS navagator system broke, which also incidentally, never happens, and Simon doesn't know how to get there without the GPS. Well, we decided to try to go without the GPS anyway. We went along the highway making good time, and needed gas, so we went to the gas station and suddenly Simon's credit card didn't work. So, we drove around and found another gas station and once again we were on our way only to run into the Danish equivalent of CalTrans. Why it is necessary to build a bridge in the middle of rush hour I will never know, but that's what they were doing. Finally, we made it to the airport 30 minutes before the flight was to leave. However, the parking lot was blocked and we were not able to park. So we drove around and found more parking and went in the terminal, but then the nice Danish man who looked like he knew what he was talking about told us we were in the wrong place. He sent us on the other side of the airport. However, when we got there we discovered he had sent us to SAS airlines. I was flying on Continental (which was where we came in) and by the time we got back there, I had just missed my flight. Just barely. Now, the funny part of this story is, this is high travel season for the Danes (their Spring Break) and so all the flights are booked until April. So, I love you guys, but I wont be seeing you for a little while.
