Concert tickets 1996-2009 (not complete)
This is far from a complete collection of all the concerts that I have seen over the years. Not included are all the concerts, recitals and various performances that I have seen at school. As far as rock shows are concerned I go to so many shows in Toronto where a ticket is not involved and sometimes if I buy a ticket "will call" I never actually see it. So, from what I can remember right now here are some shows that are missing, but I can't be too sure about the exact dates: Sloan at the Mod Club in Toronto The Burning Hell at the Horseshoe Tavern The Burning Hell and Dog Day at Lee's Palace Entire Cities about 10 times all over Toronto The Six Shooter Backyard BBQ The Calgary Folkfest in July 2008 Rush at the Molson Ampitheater in Toronto, July 2008. Lightning Bolt at the Soundlab in Buffalo Mt. St. Helen's Vietnam Band and Japandroids at the Soundlab in Buffalo, October 2009. I'm sure there must be others....
On the First Air plane from Ottawa to Iqaluit, catching up on the Nunatsiaq News.
You can't see him, but Jack Layton, NDP Party, who I'm told holds the balance of power in Canada was sitting directly in front of me on the flight. He was not campaigning, I heard him say, but going up to Nunavut to visit the smaller communities. How interesting! This picture was taken by a long-time pilot with First Air, who was being flown up that morning in order to fly another plane back from Iqaluit later that day. We had a very interesting chat about Nunavut, where he had been flying planes for over 20 years, and First Air itself, which is owned by Nunavuk Inuit. The ticket may have been prohibitively expensive, but we were given loads of food, including their famous giant hot chocolate chip cookies.
