Library and Archives of the 8th AFHS-Mn

The Eighth Air Force Historical Society of Minnesota has a lending Library of books, DVDs, etc., which can be checked out by the public. Books, for example, are in a very large metal bookcase that is open each Wednesday during 8th AFHS-Mn meetings between 11 am and 1 pm and is available to members and the general public to check out materials. (Some books are also available for sale on the back table.) The Digital Archives, consisting of three binders of DVDs is also available and is stored by the Archivist in two different physical locations to avoid loss from fires, etc. If you would like to have a copy made of any presentation or interview DVD please contact archivist, Kevin Callahan at call0031@gmail.com or by phone at 651-253-6018. DVD's include videos of past presentations, oral history interviews, transcripts, diaries, digital copies of books, films, photo albums, and Veterans' symposia from different events. A substantial amount of this material is also posted on this website and on You Tube.
