Jerome D. Granlund

Granlund, Jerome D. Age 86, longtime resident of Edina, passed away May 27, 2011. Survived by devoted wife of 53 years, Adeline; children, Mark Granlund of Edina, Jane (Jay) Larson of Edina; grandchildren, Mitchell, Hannah and Griffin; other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Nellie Granlund; sister, Frances Reynolds; brothers, Curtis, Calvin, and Tyrone Granlund. Jerry was a proud WWII Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a prisoner of war in Germany for 338 days. He will be forever tied to his friends and family at Lake Ida in Alexandria, MN. We will miss his quick wit and humor and his stories will live on forever. A special thanks to the staff at Walker Elder Suites for the loving care shown to Jerry and Adeline. Memorial service 2 PM Friday, June 3, Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, W. 50th St. and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100, Edina. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Immediately following the service a reception will be held. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor's choice.
